ClariVein® Leaflet Explains Varicose Vein Treatment

ClariVein® is an innovative treatment for getting rid of varicose veins which cleverly combines a mechanical action together with a chemical action to destroy the veins.

This is a unique treatment which is quite unlike the traditional ‘vein stripping’ that many people still associate with varicose vein treatment. It is safe, effective and carried out with minimal discomfort. Patients can return straight to normal activities and don’t even need to expect much bruising as the treatment is so uninvasive.

The leaflet explains:

“The procedure using ClariVein® requires insertion only of a thin catheter, not a large vascular sheath.

“The rotating tip of the ClariVein® device, combined with the targeted delivery of the sclerosant drug, are used to occlude the vein.

“No tumescent anaesthetic is required and hence there are no multiple injections, no internal leg pressure, no chance of nerve injury, or pain and bruising as a result of heat energy or surgical procedures.”

After the varicose vein has been destroyed, the blood is rerouted through normally functioning veins.
